You Can't Choose Your Family

Whether you live in Prague, in a village, or on the other side of the world, family is family. They know what you got up to at fifteen, remember all your cringe moments, and always manage to ask about your love life just when you don’t have one. You can travel across the world, but your family will still somehow find you. Sometimes, coming out is celebrated, other times, it is hushed up. And sometimes, all you can do is sit at the table, keep smiling, and hope nobody gets into a fight this year.
