HUSH: Silent Film Nights 2026

A fusion of the classic, the modern and the unique. That’s our new cycle of silent films with live music, HUSH: Silent Film Nights! Throughout the year we will bring you a series of silent films with live accompaniments at unusual spots in Brno. But if you’re expecting films accompanied by Bach, you’ll be disappointed. These live musical projects, especially picked for the HUSH series, more often than not come from the club music tradition. They deconstruct and then successfully reconstruct this phenomenon, giving the dance genre a new perspective and unique new messages. Aside from electronic music with post-club and techno influences, you’ll also hear some other, more classic genres, like punk.

This current sound will enhance such jewels of silent film as Haxän: Witchcraft Through the Ages, Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Strike, The Arrival from the Darkness, and others! And, in addition to these special screenings, you’ll be able to discover unique Brno locations and relish a truly rare and unrepeatable film experience.
