The Left Wing Gang

The gripping Danish miniseries recounts the staggeringly unbelievable story of a real-life group of left-wing radicals and the bank robberies they carried out over the course of two decades.

There are many ways to adapt local history events, but usually one would not consider the kinetic action thriller style of Jason Bourne movies. But what other style would be better suited to portray the events surrounding the group of left-wing political activists who in the 1970s and 80s carried out professionally executed bank robberies and kidnappings to finance the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. The series devotes as much attention to key members of the group, which got its name from the street where they had a large stash of weapons and explosives, as to the leading investigator who put his career and personal life on the line to apprehend them.
