Sisi & I

Countess Irma is chosen as a lady-in-waiting for Empress Sisi and follows her to Greece. There they live far away from the strict and narrow Austrian court, surrounded only by noble women. Empress Sisi strives for freedom from the expectations of her family and enjoys the time without her husband and children. Irma is fascinated by the extraordinary woman and her modern ideas. Soon she longs for more attention and affection from the empress than the mores of the time would allow. Irma finds herself in a world full of drugs and false ideals of beauty that is very different from life at court in Vienna.
