The title is a play on words in Czech and means "Looking for the Exit/East". It describes with poignant images the situation of refugees fleeing from war, oppression, prosecution or dictatorships on the "Balkan-Route" to Europe.
Michal Pavlásek is a social anthropologist, freelance journalist and documentarist. He also happens to love Turkish coffee. He is currently a researcher and professor at the Institute of Ethnology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the Co-founder of Anthropictures, a flexible association of social scientists providing independent field research. His research focuses on migration and multiculturalism.
